CATHOLIC ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES

At these classes the Catholic faith is taught in its total content, it is exposed and explained for the benefit of all who are interesting in progressing in their spiritual life. This year, being the "Year of the Eucharist" there will be a special emphasis on adoration of the Eucharist.

Classes are held on:

Mondays:  
Time: 9.45am to 11.15am
Text used: "My Way of Life" - the masterpiece of St. Thomas Aquinas in simplified form. It is of interest to everyone.
   
Fridays:  
Time: 7.30pm to 9.00pm
Text used:
"Apologetics and Christian Doctrine" - Archbishop Pell recommended this book to the Church of today emphasising its freedom from muddled thinking.
   
Both the above texts are outstanding for their clarity, persuasiveness and comprehensiveness.
   
Tuesdays:  
Time: 6.45pm to 7.45pm
Title: Introduction to Philosophy
Description:
Philosophy is a study of reality. This course is intended for anyone interested in further philosophical studies, or anyone who is interested in philosophy for whatever reason.
Those attending this course will be able, if they so wish, to receive a diploma from the Centre for Thomistic Studies, Inc. (a school of philosophy and theology) and then proceed to get a pontifical degree for religious studies from the University of the Legionaries of Christ, Regina Apostolorum in Rome.

Alice Nelson is teaching the above classes. She is also one of the teachers at the Centre for Thomistic Studies, Inc.
