Eucharistic Ministers
We believe that the celebration of the Eucharist is a celebration of thanksgiving dedicated to the memory of Christ and His redemptive work. We are motivated by a love of and reverence for the Eucharist.
Our role, as lay people, is to assist with the distribution of the Holy Eucharist to the faithful during Mass. We also bring the Eucharist after Sunday Mass to the sick and old confined to nursing homes in our Parish.
The Eucharist, for the sick and confined, is a tremendous gift of consolation, comfort and healing. Consequently, this is an important function of our role as it enables us a share in the compassion of Christ to the sick.
