Life Ascending Committee
The Life Ascending International Movement is a movement which promotes the growth of Spirituality, through prayer and discussion using God’s Word to deepen our faith:
Loving Service, through helping the sick and lonely;
Friendship, by offering a loving openness to others.
Membership is open to retired men and women of any age. Each meeting is for only one and a half hours once or twice a month. As well as the meetings, members join together with groups from other parishes for Reflection days and a yearly Retreat.
Regina Coeli parish, Beverly Hills, has provided the springboard for the commencement of the Movement in Australia and groups were begun here in October 1999. There are two groups in Beverly Hills and both meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month; one at 10.00am and the other at 2.30pm. We reflect together and discuss the Sunday Gospel and at times an article of common interest is talked about. Each group meeting ends with a “cuppa” and the talk continues!
